Poppies – Let us Remember
The 11th November is Remembrance Day when we pay tribute to all our armed forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice to maintain this countries freedom. We also think about all those who have been injured both physically and mentally during recent conflicts.
I wanted to do my bit this year for our ex-servicemen who are supported all year round by the Royal British Legion. This national charity provides all sorts of support including financial, physical, mental health service and supports the families of servicemen.
I have considered what Kerry’s Bouqcakes can do to help this charity at this financially difficult time. Due to the pandemic it is unlikely that we will see the number of poppy sellers on our streets or knocking at our doors. This is the time of year when the bulk of their fund raising is done for the charity. Last year I designed a red buttercream poppy cupcake which I think is a perfect representation of the remembrance poppy.
For each Buttercream Poppy Course purchased at £5.50 I pledge to donate £2.00 from now, 25th October 2020 to 30th November 2020 to The Royal British Legion to assist in their continued support of our ex-servicemen to whom we owe so much. Link to the course below.
