Kerry’s Bouqcakes 3rd Birthday SALE! Celebrate with us.
This week I’m celebrating my business birthday, three years since the beginning of Kerry’s Bouqcakes and to help celebrate this milestone I’ve added a flash SALE to my website! If you’d told me when I started this business that I’d have over 200,000 followers from around the world across my social media channels I don’t think I would have believed you! Then again, I definitely wouldn’t have believed if you’d told me that Kerry’s Bouqcakes would be celebrating its third year of business in the middle of a global pandemic, with me temporarily closing my order books.

Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the Mother of the family, or Mother figure, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of Mothers in society. In many parts of the world it would usually be celebrated this Sunday, 22nd March. Presents with ‘World’s Best Mummy’ would be exchanged and my cupcakes gifted as a yummy twist on traditional flowers. This year will be a Mother’s Day like no other, as scores of people self isolate and are forced to rethink plans with loved ones which to be honest with you, totally sucks!

Despite my best endeavours at managing, this last year was manic. Building my business is very rewarding but very time consuming. In fact I find being a working parent can be hard, as I am sure some of you may be aware. So this year I decided to made some life changes rather than resolutions. -
Baking With Your Little Treasures
With the Christmas holiday looming I thought I would share my thoughts on home cooking with your children.
Children are like little sponges and what a good time to get them interested in cooking and more importantly learning some useful life skills. To them, just a fun activity but it goes so much deeper than that. Children learn using their senses, tasting, smelling, feeling, seeing, touching and listening. In the kitchen they will be using all of their senses. Even toddlers enjoy time in the kitchen with you even if it is only chopping up vegetables for dinner with a blunt knife. My children love activities that are real. What an achievement for them to tell Mummy or Daddy that they helped prepare dinner. If you can make cooking a positive experience they will take this good attitude towards food forward in life.
